Fantasy Premier League action is back with plenty of work to do after the international break for some managers in Gameweek 4. I have followed the International Games closely and glad to see that Top Guns from Premier League clubs sizzled for their national teams and came out unscathed which will give a sigh of relief for respective gaffers at their clubs. So the planning starts for GW, many have been dabbling with the idea of using their first Wildcard before the deadline while some of them are still keeping it for the later stages. Honestly, if your captain pick clicks and you have not used your WC you will be in fantastic position post-GW4. My Top 3 contenders for Armband Warrior for this gameweek are Sadio Mane, Alvaro Morata & Sam Vokes…. with me plumming for the Chelsea man on my own team.

Sadio Mane at Man City

The Jewel from Liverpool’s attacking trident is too difficult to ignore for Armband Warrior in GW4. 3 Goals in 3 Games warranted heavy transfer in for the attacking winger who will be keen to score more against the weekend host Manchester City. Jürgen Klopp’s records against Top 6 clubs are impeccable and expect a high scoring game again this weekend.

Score: 22 Pts. 3 Goals, 0 Assist
Form: 7.3
Ownership: 29.7%
Opponent: Manchester City
Armband Rating: 9/10

Sadio Mane is a terror inside opponent’s box and ranks highest in ICT Index and 2nd highest after Salah in Threat index among Liverpool players. Though the City defense has allowed a minimal number of shots to be taken inside their penalty box, I believe this fixture against Liverpool will be a different prospect altogether. If you want to take a reliable punt then Mane is the perfect option for you.

Alvaro Morata at Leicester City

Chelsea’s decision to invest that much money in Morata is slowly paying dividends. The Spaniard enjoyed a good outing with the Spanish National Team where he scored 3 goals and assisted 2. His last 3 Premier League stats are also too tough to ignore where he was the highest returns per minutes played among all the players. In total 186 minutes he has scored twice and assisted twice which puts him just behind Romelu Lukaku in Top scoring Forward list. With Hazard coming back to Chelsea’s squad, Morata will enjoy more creativity and goal scoring opportunities than before. Though a game against Leicester City is tricky but expect Chelsea to score 2-3 goals and Morata to be involved in those goals.

Sam Vokes v Crystal Palace

Right now giving the armband to someone who is facing Crystal Palace at home looks like a sensible idea. It may be little early to call that Crystal Palace is last year’s Sunderland but their performance in last 3 games only augurs well for the decision. Andre Gray is off the books and that puts Sam Vokes on the focal attack point off Burnley. Crystal Palace is yet to score a goal and have conceded 6 goals already. Right now FbD’s team look all over the places and a tough game at Turf Moor is awaiting them. Expect Burnley to score minimum 2 goals and Vokes to be involved in them which will earn him a double digit score.

Score: 16 pts- 2 goals and 3 BPS
Form: 5.3
Ownership: 6.3
Opponent: Crystal Palace
Armband Rating: 8/10

Sam Vokes will be a differential punt and can help you take a massive jump in your mini league. So if you like taking a risk then it’s worth putting the money on the Burnley Hitman.

I will be going with Alvaro Morata this weekend and I wish you all the best with your lineups!! May your arrows be Green.
