I was fortunate enough to watch a couple of full matches in gameweek 18 since they were spread over a span of three days and I must advise you to watch all the goals this week. Really spectacular goals were scored by the likes of Mkhitaryan, Borini and Lukaku.

#FPL wise, we all knew it was the battle between Captain Zlatan and Captain Sanchez; and the former one won. Sanchez blanked despite his 4 shots on target out of a total of 9 shots; unlucky. I will reiterate that Arsenal have brilliant upcoming fixtures and you readers should have at least one cover from this team (I might double up with Alexis & Iwobi in absence of Walcott).

The captain picks of #GW18 were back at their best with each of the three players providing decent returns.

Coming to this week’s picks, the Obvious Captain remains the same: Zlatan Ibrahimovic! It was only due to his 30 points, I managed to get an above average score last gameweek. With a convincing victory against Sunderland, United will be playing their home game pretty confidently against Middlesbrough this gameweek. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored 11 goals in his last ten games. The big Swede is in form as expected and surely will try to continue going onto the new year.

Returning from a one game suspension, Diego Costa is the #CoreCaptain for gameweek 19. With fresh legs now, Diego will be aiming to stay on the top of goal scorers list, currently sitting top with 13 goals. Chelsea face an easy home fixture against Stoke who conceded 4 goals in the last match and have managed to keep only 5 clean sheets this season. I really feel that this is his season and he is going to keep on racking up goals week in week out.

The risky captain of the week is the Belgian star Romelu Lukaku, who by the way scored a splendid solo goal against Leicester last gameweek. Lukaku is a very risky pick because he has only scored 3 goals in his last 8 Premier League games, but he can be a huge differential captain pick against the easiest defense of the league Hull City.

So these are the big guns I am rooting for a good performance in GW19. I am personally battling a tough phase in FPL after suddenly having red flags on 4 of my players. I will be discussing my replacement strategies on my twitter account @FPLantarctican.
