After a high scoring Gameweek 21, Dave O’Grady got the team back together to talk about the decisions facing FPL managers heading into the new gameweek. Joining him this week was regular show producer Chorley Rocks and Adrian Riley of @Fanfootfirst, and Mark Edworthy better known on twitter as @Buffrey007

There is a lot to talk about this week; the league’s top striker Diego Costa is the subject of rabid transfer speculation having been left at home for Chelsea’s trip to Leicester City, perennial star players Sergio Aguero and Eden Hazard have not produced in weeks and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane is on fire. In addition, we discuss the FPLELITE50 leaderboard for January, and get the FantasyFootballFirst tips for the optimum lineup for the coming Gameweek.

Questions @Fanfeud on twitter, some of which were answered on the show!

For me it is Alli. Although, that is purely due to my opinion that he is more likely to be a goalscorer. You can’t go wrong with either.

False dawn. Trust no Everton attacker other than Lukaku… and be wary of him! 😉

I have just sold Aguero for Kane. The extra cash allowed me to updgrade from Siggy (I will always love you Icelander) to Coutinho. Lukaku is well worth picking up too, good fixtures

The only one of those strikers who appears to be immune to poor fixtures and a turd of a team: Defoe.

Yes. I think that would be a good exchange

If you have to bench one… Brunt

Sell – not worth his pricetag right now and City look a shambles.

See above. unfortunate transfer choice but that happens sometimes.

I have owned Holgate through multiple pricedrops, sitting on my bench in the hope that (unlike Amat) if he does get gametime, he is on a decent team.

I would stick with him, but Coutinho or even Pogba/Mkhitaryan offer interesting cheap alternatives. He would be hurt if Costa is not playing as the two link up well but he is a star playing for a dominant team

I like Valdes if you can afford him. The Middlesbrough defence has stepped up recently. Jakupovic is the flavour of the month at £3.9m but his upcoming fixtures of Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal look horrible!

I think Ibra is a must own with his form and ownership levels. If you do not own him and he has a big gameweek you could be in trouble.

Baines due to setpieces. Coutinho if you have the funds, Stanislas if not.

Rondon for me, very good player and WBA aren’t that bad this year!

Stanislas in my opinion. One of the most in-form players in the league
