Welcome to @BeingStalin‘s Armband Warrior Analysis for Game week 5!

Our pick for GW4 was Alvaro Morata and he did not disappoint the 18% of managers who decided to give him the armband with a 6*2=12 points return. However, those points are in the rearview mirror, and so we turn our attention to GW5. One simply can’t ignore Harry Kane at this moment. The Spurs hit man is in scintillating form, two goals against Everton in the Premier League and two goals & one assist against Borussia Dortmund in Champions League will warrant the armband from any sane FPL manager in GW5.

Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino is a great option, as is Manchester United sharp shooter Lukaku who has scored 6 goals in 6 competitive games but as usual I will recommend a player who can potentially help you take the lead in your mini-leagues; he is none other than the Spurs midfield maestro – Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen, despite his quality and performances, continues to be one of the most underappreciated players in both the Premier League itself, and indeed Fantasy Premier League. For his quality he probably deserves to be spoken about in the same breath as the likes of Eden Hazard, and yet somehow he does not garner the same attention. This season, his FPL returns are second only to Paul Pogba so far and at £9.7m price he is worth every penny. The Dane has provided 20 assists in all competitions in 2017. That’s not just good on a Premier League level, it is actually seven more than any other player across the big five European leagues.

On any given week, the former Ajax man is a valid choice as captain, but his record against Swansea makes that decision even more understandable. In the 7 games he has played against the Swans, he has scored 6 goals and assisted 3 more. Few players can boast such a record against a specific opponent.

The Scandinavian supplier is the chief creator for Maurico Pochettino and I am expecting him to be involved in most of the goal scoring opportunities. His creativity (170.0) and threat index (187.0) are high among other top rated midfielders. He is on free kicks and corner kicks as well which is quite enticing and if Kane continues his prime form then Eriksen’s supply will be rewarded well in terms of FPL returns.

While everybody will be going with Kane, Firmino or Lukaku for the armband this game week, having Eriksen as your captain is surely a calculated gamble which can give you a lead over your mini league rivals. Not to forget a Midfielder’s goal gives your 2 pts more when captained and Eriksen was only second to Harry Kane in shots taken last weekend.

I would strongly recommend Christian Eriksen as your Armband Warrior for GW5. Thank you so much for showing your love towards @Fanfeud. Keep following us for more news, pods and articles. Wish you a great weekend ahead.
